Bar Foundation

The Bar Foundation was created in 1985 to serve as the fund-raising and charitable arm of the Bar Association.  The Foundation is composed of members in good standing of the xyz Bar Association, and Fellows, who are Bar Association attorneys and judges who have distinguished themselves professionally, who have made a significant monetary donation to the Foundation, and who have given generously of their time to serve the communities where they live and work.

The Foundation is governed by a 15-member Board of Governors.  The organization has one standing committee, the Scholarship Fund Committee.  Ad hoc committees are created on an as-needed basis.  The Foundation strives to broaden its role in the community by supporting charitable activities and organizations whose goals fall within the Foundation’s mission.
