The Demo County Bar Association (Demo) is a organization for lawyers, judges and other legal professionals. The DCBA provides education, and promotes diversity and civil rights in our community.

We also provide access to legal services for residents of XXX County.  Our Lawyer Referral Service connects you with a pre-screened qualified attorneys.  Our Volunteer Legal Services, a 501.c.3 nonprofit, provides more than 3,000 hours of free legal services each year
 

I need a lawyer. Where do I start?

The Demo Lawyer Referral & Information Service (LRIS) can match you with a pre-screened Lawyer qualified to help you with your legal issues. LRI phones are open from 8:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., and 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
 
If you call after hours, you can leave a message and we will return your call within 1-2 business days. We are not able to accept walk-in requests for help, no exceptions.

You may be able to attend one of our free legal clinics if you have a case in Alameda County. We do not provide an attorney to go with you to court, but our volunteers can help with paperwork and give advice. Find out more information on our clinics here
